BLUEGRASS FAIR JULY 15 - 25, 2010
At our Feb. KLAA meeting it was decided we would participate every day/evening of the Bluegrass Fair in Lexington. The Fair hours are, weekends 3 to 11, week days 5 to 11. We were advised we probably would not have to stay as late as 11, especially on week days. Since this is the first year the Fair is adding different livestock there may be changes to the information we were given at the meeting. The sooner we can advise them of exactly what we can do, the more exposure we are likely to get and the more we will be included in their advertising. You must be a paid up member in KLAA to participate with llamas or alpacas. We are recruiting fiber artists to demonstrate and hopefully they will be able to sell their wares (much like Llama Daze). There will be no cost to participate! Some of the weekend activities discussed were, holding a small demonstration show, obstacle course demonstrations, walking fiber class demonstrations, and we would like to have informational presentations on the week day evenings.
I know July seems a long way off - but - I need your commitment as soon as possible. At this time we have a limited number of stalls and spaces available. We will be reserving space on a “first sign up” basis. So please return the attached sheet and you will be kept in the in the loop as new information is available. Please call or email me if you have any questions.
