Hello All!
Our May KLAA meeting was hosted by Melinda & Larry Whitehead at their beautiful lake side farm. The weather was good, the food was great, and a good time was had by all. You missed a fine time if you didn't attend.
As I write this, the state fair is coming to an end. Thank you to Linda Ison, Charla & Michael Young, Charlotte & Dave Beaudin, Norma Jean Smith, Frances Wells, Marlene Williams, Debbie McIntosh, Terry Casey, and Tammy Adams for taking time to work our booth. This is always a great way to market KLAA and our farms.
Don't forget to make plans to hike with us on October 11th at Blue Licks State Park. This will be our third trek with our llamas and alpacas. The park enjoys having us visit and is doing a lot of advertising for us.
We are hoping to do more public relations with our animals this year. So if you have an idea, please work out the details, and we'll try to put it on our agenda.
Mary Jo Miller is making great progress with plans for the North American Show (Nov. 6-8). We are still looking for additional volunteers, so let me know how you would like to help. A list of show positions is listed in this issue of the HummDinger with personnel who have already signed up to volunteer. Let's make this show a great success. We can't do it without you!
See you soon,
Donna
