Hello All!
Thank you to our past board members for their support of KLAA last year, and thanks to the volunteers that helped make last year a successful and enjoyable year.
With the new year well under way, hopefully, you have taken the time to renew your membership in KLAA for 2009. If you haven't done so yet, please send your dues to Kathy Gibbs. Let's try to increase our membership in KLAA with enthusiastic and active members.
Our first KLAA meeting got us off to a good start. We had a great pot luck lunch at the Georgetown library with Doug and Blanca Parks as guest speakers. Blanca is a native of Lima, Peru, and spoke on her career as an Animal Scientist in Peru.
Our spring show in Liberty, KY is quickly approaching. As of now we are looking for another judge since Debbie Shellabarger has had a car accident and will be requiring more surgery. Hopefully, we can find a replacement at this late date.
We are again making plans for another llama and alpaca demonstration and hike at Blue Licks State Park on Saturday, May 9th. Details will follow soon. May 30th is the date for Lama Daze. So mark your calendar for these up coming events. Let's get geared up for all of our spring activities.
