February 9, 2008 Meeting at Scott County Library

The President , John Maddy opened the meeting with the announcement of no blood work needed for our llamas in Kentucky, to attend shows in KY. John announced the New Board.

Board Member-Charlotte Beaudin
Board Member-JoAnn Bland
Board Member-Mary Jo Miller
Member-at-Large-Michael Young
Treasurer report was read with motion made and second to accept the reading.

Donna Keith made a motion to purchase a $10,000 CD for 6 months the motion was second by JoAnn Bland.

Treasurer reports were read for the Kentuckiana Show and the Naile show, a motion was made and second to accept the report.

Budget report was submitted by the Chairman, JoAnn Bland, with other members help, Amy McClothlin , Charla Young and Mary Jo Miller.

Motion was made and second to change Advertising budget from $250.00 to $1000.00.

Charlotte Beaudin volunteered to research venues to places ads in KY.

Lots of discussion on projects for 2008.

Motion was made and second to accept the proposed budget for 2008.

John brought up the idea for the Organization to look into grants, and Melinda Whitehead volunteered to do some research.

Much Discussion on the Kentuckiana Lama Classic Show. The addition of Alpacas and Minature Llamas.

Llama Daze was on May 24, 2008 was discussed by Charlotte Beaudin. Voted to pay FFA to set up stalls. Alloted $500.00 for local Ads. Get Llama Daze posted on web-site.

Next order of business brought up was the Fiber Clinic on April 5, 2008 at 10 AM at Mary Jo Millers Farm.

Mary Jo Miller submitted new budget for the 2008 NAILE Show and a motion was made and second that Mary Jo offer this proposal to the fair grounds. If they do not accept our proposal the Board will need to meet again.

Motion made to adjourn meeting.
