Good News for the Camelid Industry

Hello Everyone,

I just spoke to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the laws that we have been long awaiting are finally changed. We, in the camelid industry, will no longer have the added expense of the Brucellosis and TB tests to show or transport our animals in the state of Kentucky. This is in effect NOW and will remain in effect as long as we retain the Class Free status, meaning there are no reported cases of Brucellosis or TB in the state.

This is good news for all of us!

Sincerely,
John Maddy, 2008 KLAA President
