I dont know if you have a news letter or something that this can run in or not, but if so, thank you!

"A Special Invitation----to a Special Show!"                      by Donna Moore

I'd like to invite you to a "special" Llama-Alpaca-Fiber Show this summer in Ohio.

It is going to be different in many ways.  First, we are celebrating our "20th" year as a show..... which makes us the longest running llama show ever!  We want you to be part of that!

We are really going to do it up big at this year's "Ohio State Fair Llama, Alpaca, Fiber Show!" To thank our exhibitors, we are going to have food, and music, and prizes, and favors and more fun than usual and more prizes and ...........

We are going to have vendors for the first time, located right at their animal stalls.  If you would like to be one, just call me for details.  Nominal fee and the cost goes towards our celebration. 740-743-1092

"Ridge Mist Llama and Alpaca Supplies" from Maine (Jane Dunstan) will be there to provide every-one's grooming, halter, llama/alpaca gift, etc. needs, so save up your money to take care of your needs then.  That's a good time to order ahead of time and pick up that 15yr. old Circuiteer Blower that just died.  1-800-245-2627.  And don't forget all those new stall mats you need.

Plenty of stalls at no charge: that's the way it's always been.  Also, a free Display Stall right beside your animal stalls.  We've got to be the "least expensive" show in town!  $25 per animal and no other cost for anything else, and you can have him (or her!) in as many classes as you want!

The dates are July 24-26,2008.  All exhibitors come in on Thrusday, the 24th and that evening is loaded with all fun stuff that all exhibitors take part in: a beautiful Fiber Fashion Show where you show a garment you love and you lead one of your llamas or alpacas...the "it's hard to decide" Costume Class....the crazy "LLeaping for Life" contest where over 100 exhibitors and their animals (many who have never jumped a hurdle before) do so to help show audience members how important it is that we donate our organs someday when we no longer need them!  You should see these llamas and alpacas fly!

And you get to see a performance by the Best D_ _ _ Drill Team in the Land!  Remember, this is Buckeye Country! Friday and Saturday we run two rings solid with every class imaginable.  All classes are kept small, intentionally.  You may leave when ever you want but you probably won't want to.

I keep encouraging exhibitors to bring those Suris out so we can continue to divide classes more. If we have enough this year, we will have Grand and Reserve banners.

Our judges for this year's show are Terry Duespohl and Tami Lash and I think they are just excited to be there as we are to have them here.  And, if you want to, you can hug them!

This year For The First Time Anywhere the "Adult Non-Breeder Class" which usually is divided into three groups because we have so many beautful, big and older non-breeder animals being used out there every day, will be divided by wool length--light,medium and heavy wool.  So bring out those light wool non-breeders if you have not in the past!

By now you are probably wondering how we could do some of the above things and be an Alsa-Sanctioned show.  We couldn't!  We were for 19 years!

To keep the quality show we have always strived to be with the best judges around, we had to become a Non-Alsa show in the Halter & Performace divison of our show this year.  Note: The Fiber Show is still Alsa-Sanctioned.

Hope you will join us!  Check us out after March 15th at www.ohiostatefair.com for 1)all the information and rules,2)all the classes available, and 3)the entry form.  Deadline is always June 20, 2008.

If you need a paper copy or have any questions at all, just give me a call at 740-743-1092

See you in Ohio in July - Donna!
