February 2008, President's Letter
I hate to start a letter on a down note, however, we are all saddened by the loss of a fellow KLAA Member, Charles Wright, of Corinth, KY. Charles lost his life in a fatal auto accident on January 28, 2008. He is deeply missed by his wife, Pat and son Glen and of course by all their llamas. Charles and Pat attended several KLAA events in 2007 and will be missed by all of us at KLAA. We hope Pat will be able to continue on with the llamas and be a part of KLAA.

WOW, how the time has flown. Another year has nearly come to an end. 2007 has been a very good year for KLAA. We had two successful Double Shows and two successful events in the Georgetown area.

Comfort Control for the Llamas at Country View Llamas
We all know that heat stress on llamas is NOT A GOOD THING. Since our first summer with llamas, we have searched high and low for the best way to keep them comfortable in the heat of the summer. We have purchased 4' floor fans, pole fans, hanging fans and most any other type of fan that can be purchased. We were not happy with the air movement from any of the aforementioned fans. The floor fan was good for the first llama that laid down in front of it.
